Extra Super Tanker (文华轩) @ Damansara Kim ★★★★ $$$$

Signature Freshwater Prawn @ RM 15/100g

Extra Super Tanker is a Chinese restaurant which has been around since July 2004. Generally recognized for its fresh and unique seafood dishes. They serve family-oriented dishes which is a great place to enjoy with your family. As the owner insists on serving the best dishes, certain dishes require pre-booking.

Roast Duck in Chinese Sandwich Style @ RM 88 ++

Roast Duck and Fried Pancake are "Sandwiched" with a thin fluffy Pao-like bread. Similar to a Peking Duck but with some extra creativity, a new and delicious dish is created. The mix of crispiness, fluffiness and denseness texture were amazing. Every bite was tasty. Chinese too can actually make good sandwiches.
Roast Duck
The Roast Duck came with the Sandwich. Duck was marinated then roasted till perfection. The skin had a slight crisp and tasty with a salty touch to it.
Stif-fry Beansprout with Glass Noodle & Dried Scallops @ RM 15 ++
Simple yet delicious. The fine dried scallops were tasty. The beansprouts were crunchy and refreshing. The Glass noodles were somewhat crunchy and smooth. The mix of ingredients were an excellent combination. A must try!!
Fried Crab Meat with Egg & Pine Nuts @ RM35 ++
Fried Crab Meat, Egg, Pine Nuts and Beansprouts wrapped in lettuce. The crunchy lettuce filled with the hot juicy and savoury stir-fry was absolutely delicious. Another must try!!
Stewed King Garoupa @ RM 13.80 /100g
Hot and fragrant fish head cooked in claypot. The stew was really tasty with a burst of flavour of garlic and herbs. King Garoupa is well known not for its flesh but the skin. Its skin had a texture which I would describe as a jelly yet chewy consistency. A must try!!
1 Million Tofu
Silky smooth tofu topped with mushrooms, macadamias, ginko nuts and vegetables on sweet pumpkin sauce. Everything was great by itself but when mixed the taste didn't complement one another. The pumpkin sauce didn't worked well with the tofu at all.
Abalone Mushroom & Pork Slice with XO sauce
Stir-fry Abalone Mushrooms, Pork Slices and more mushrooms with XO sauce. The XO sauce was superb as it made this dish tasty and fragrant. The Abalone Mushroom was wonderful. It had a similar chewy texture to a Abalone but much softer. Pork was soft and tender.
Stewed Soft Bone Pork @ RM 5 each
Stewed Soft Bone Pork with carrots. The stew was wonderful with a savoury taste to it. The carrot was a plus point as it was pleasantly sweet. However, the limelight of the this is the Soft Bone Pork which literally can be eaten with the bone. The meat was so soft, juicy and tender that it melts instantly in your mouth. As for the bone it was tough yet soft, smooth yet pliable. A definitely must try!!
Sweet & Sour Pork
Deep-fried Pork, Pineapples, Capsicums and Onions with Sweet and Sour sauce. The Pork was crispy and tasty. A great dish but there is still room for improvement as the sauce was lacking in taste.
Signature Freshwater Prawn @ RM 15/100g
Freshwater Prawn cooked in Kam Heong style. The Prawns were fresh and humongous. The flesh was springy and juicy. The Kam Heong was fragrant and had an intense salty savoury flavour which greatly complemented the prawns. A definite must try dish!! Super Tanker lives up to its expectations in making good seafood dishes.
Two style Kai Lan
Two styles came up by separating the leaves and stalk and cooked in a different way. The leaves were deep fried till very fine and fragrant and topped on the stir-fried stalks with garlic. Another must try dish as the fried leaves were tasty and went really well with rice.

Verdict (Highest-10)
Food: 8.5 (Food was superb in every way. A definite must try Chinese restaurant which not only creates unique dishes but also dishes which suits local taste buds. They have a wide varieties of Wild meats as well for those who like to exotic food.)
Service: 7.5 (Service was really good even in such a big crowd. Food may come a little slow.)
Ambiance: 7.5 (Place is spacious and clean but the crowd can be a little too noisy.)
Overall: 8.5 (One of my favourite Chinese restaurants which never disappoints.)

Price: RM 15 - 100 per main
