Sichuan House ★★ $$$

Spicy Cumin pork Ribs @ $21.80 AUD

This restaurant is within one of the alleys in China Town. The walkway is a little dodgy but many still come here for some Szechuan food. This place used to be my favourite place whenever I am looking for cheap and tasty Szechuan food. It was previously leased by Dainty Sichuan. However, Sichuan House has taken over and I'm here to find out whether its as good as the old one.

Bone & Pot (有骨气) Steamboat Restaurant @ SS2 ★★★★ $$$

Signature Pork Bone Broth @ RM 15

You can never miss Bone & Pot whenever you pass by Kelana Jaya Station as it has a huge and brightly lighted sign board. The restaurant's Chinese name is rather catchy as it means "person with high integrity" which also represents their Special Pork Bone Broth (for less confusion, one of the Chinese characters has the word bone, hence comes the bone broth). Bone & Pot serves quality food so you will expect to see a lot of homemade dishes rather than ordinary seafood and frozen meats which is quite common in other steamboat restaurants.

My Elephant @ Section 17 ★★★★ $$$

Plah Nung Manow @ RM 45

Malaysia has numerous Thai restaurants and My Elephant is definitely one of the good ones. It is getting popular in Petaling Jaya as they have a 2nd branch which is located just at Hartamas. However, looking for this place was rather difficult, especially at night as we were surprised to find it just below the flats of Happy Mansion. There can be doubts for first timers as the surroundings are rather dodgy but the silly thing is that good food in Malaysia are normally in dodgy areas.

Mamasita ★★★ $$$

de Cangrejo[Back] @ $15 AUD & de Carnitas[Front]  @ $14 AUD

Recently, Mamasita has been the talk of the town. Never tasted good Mexican food before, so would really like to try it out. The place was hard to spot but what made it easy was the queue outside. As they don't allow phone call reservations, I had to queue up to make reservation. Looking at the queue it brought up my expectation and I was hoping the 30 minutes wait was worth it.
