Goose Cafe Restaurant ★★★ $$$

Before we headed on to Busselton Jetty. We had breakfast at Goose Cafe which is located near the jetty. The restaurant is spacious and the view is spectacular.

Big Breakfast @ $24.50 AUD

Bacon, Chipolatas, Hash Browns, Field Mushroom, Roast Roma Tomato, Margaret River Free Range Eggs & Toast. Pretty good breakfast but not as good as what we got from John Street Cafe.

Field Mushrooms, Poached Eggs, Spinach, Roma Tomato, Rocket Pesto & Balsamic Reduction @ $21.50 AUD

All the ingredients were the usual breakfast ingredients. The only difference was the addition of Rocket Pesto and topped with Balsamic Reduction. Rocket Pesto was a tasty alternative to the traditional Basil Pesto, refreshing with a minor hint of saltiness. Balsamic Reduction made the whole dish appetizing and tasty with a mild sourness to it.

Creamy Porridge, Poached Rhubarb, Roast Macadamias & King Island Yoghurt @ $14.50 AUD

A healthy breakfast. The porridge was tasteless. Added with yoghurt and fruits, it became much better with a minor sweetness and sourness to it.

Scrambled Eggs, Smoked Tasmanian Salmon, Local Rocket, Baby Capers & Toast @ $22 AUD

Smoked Salmon was fresh. Added with Baby Capers it became really salty. The Scrambled egg was rather dry and lacked the fluffy texture. This dish tasted better when eaten with the toast as it reduced the saltiness level.

Drinks here were pretty good. Not excellent but good enough to sit and enjoy the view.

Verdict (Highest-10)

Food: 7 (Breakfast was decent but was lacking if compared to John Street Cafe.)

Service: 8 (Staffs were friendly and attentive. They provided good recommendations and took the time to suggest places to visit in Busselton. )

Ambiance: 9 (Neat and inviting atmosphere. Very calm and serene atmosphere with a beach view.)

Overall: 8 (A great place to enjoy breakfast.)
