Hotel Lincoln ★★★ $$$$

Honey and Cardamom Roast Duck

Nothing much can be said. Looks can be deceiving. The place is not only a pub but it caters for formal dining food as well.

The restaurant has a quiet and comfortable dining room. Good place to enjoy and have a long talk with friends.
Free breads for starters to bring up your appetite.
Goat Curd Custard, Fresh Figs @ $16 AUD
First time trying this dish. Didn't have a strong taste to it but it gave a minty and soothing  feeling. Good to prepare you for the coming main dish. The figs were definitely fresh!!
Grilled Veal Rib-eye
Looks like a normal grilled veal but it had a very strong taste to it as it is cooked with Roquefort Butter. For those who love cheese, you might like this dish. It had a strong cheese taste which was very close to blue cheese. Like the idea that the Crushed pea was served as side dish as it helped to balance the dish.
Honey and Cardamom Roast Duck
This dish was rather bland. Expected more from it as it looked good.
Roast Barramundi Fillet
 Fish was fresh. Nicely seasoned.
Chargrilled Beef
Beef texture was cooked fine but seasoning and marinade was lacking.
Mushroom and Spinach Pie
Had a pastry dish last year at the same place. Most memorable dish ever. It had a unique taste and everything about it was perfect. They have changed their menu so had to try this instead. Great but not excellent, the texture of the pastry was fine but the stuffings were lacking in taste.
Smoked Salmon
Smokiest salmon I've ever tried. Brought a whole new level to smoke salmon.

Verdict
