Corica Pastries ★★★★ $$$

Whenever you are at Perth or visiting Perth, you must never miss out this spot. Corica is popular not only for their pastries but their famous Apple Strudel. A MUST MUST try whenever you are there.

You can only tapau (take-away) their pastries as they don't provide table service. Corica's Apple Strudel are well packed in a hard cardbox which is good for long distance travel. An excellent gift for family and friends.
Apple Strudel [Middle] @ $25 AUD
Now back to how good was it. Corica's Apple Strudel is made of layers of crispy pastry topped with Caramelized Sugar and filled with Apple and Custard in between. The pastry had a very light and crispy texture which worked really well with the filling. The filling was given in generous amount. What I liked about the strudel was not only the pastry but in fact the Apple Custard. It was not overly rich nor too sweet. Very well balanced custard. A perfect combination with the pastry. Even after take-out the Strudel was still in good condition. However, I would recommend to eat it within 2 days as the pastry started shrinking after that.

Verdict (Highest-10)
Food: 9 (The best strudel I have tried so far. They have other pastries which are good as well but the limelight of the shop is their Apple Strudel.)
Overall: 8.5 (Would say the Strudels are pretty expensive, but why not for such good pastry.)

Price: $25 AUD per Strudel
