Rustlers Steakhouse & Grill ★★ $$$$

Chicken Special @ $35 AUD

My buddy who drove all the way from city came to visit me at Albany. He had a long 4 hours ride so we decided to have something meaty to indulge ourselves. Rustlers is popular for serving great steaks and so we were here to find out if that is true.

The place is spacious with lots of tables. Even with the space, most of the tables were occupied which was a good sign.
Hot Rocks for Two @ $62.95 AUD
Selection of Lemon Peppered Fish, Beef Fillet and Cajun Chicken served with Ranch Salad and Wedges. Cooked on a hot granite rock at the table. Beef Fillet and Cajun Chicken were tender and juicy. Salmon had a delicate and moderately firm texture. All served sizzling hot. Generous amount of Salad and Wedges.
Chicken Special @ $35 AUD
This dish was a special dish of the day. Grilled Boneless Chicken Breast on Mashed Potato served with Special Seafood sauce. Chicken was slightly overcooked as it was a bit dry. The sauce tasted like mild buttery curry with a good consistency.
Chicken + Ribs @ $31.95 AUD
Char-grilled Pork Spare Ribs and Boneless Chicken Breast served with Ranch Salad and Baked Potato. Ribs and Chicken were tasty and worked really well with the Barbecue sauce. However, the ribs and chicken were slightly overcooked hence not as juicy and tender as it could be. Baked Potato were perfectly cooked which was moderately firm and moist.
Lamb Rump @ $34.95 AUD
Roasted Honey, Rosemary and Lemon seasoned Lamb on roasted vegetables. A sweet savoury dish with thick gravy. Meat was tender and juicy. Served when it was sizzling hot.
Apple Pie @ $10 AUD
Apple Pie served with Raspberry Jam, Ice Cream and Cream. Generous amount of apple with a thin crust. Fillings were sweet and moist. Went really well with the Ice cream and Jam.
Sticky Date @ 10 AUD
Sticky Date Pudding served with Caramel sauce, Ice Cream and Cream. Sticky date didn't taste like the ones I normally have. Was slightly dry. Sauce was really thick and sweet.

Verdict (Highest-10)
Food: 7.5 (Food were not bad but could have been better. Probably an off day for the chef. Desserts were just average.)
Service: 6 (There was a long wait for the food and the bill. Staffs were friendly though.)
Ambiance: 8 (The place is spacious and cozy with different settings. Not that I will run around the place but there was plenty of space to run around.)
Overall: 7.5 (Would say the food are overpriced.)

Price: $29.95-43.95 AUD per main
