Laksa King ★★★ $

Fish Head Curry Laksa @ $11.9 AUD

Laksa King offers a wide varieties of Malaysian food but the highlight of the restaurant is their infamous Curry Laksa. Was craving for some Malaysian food so came to Laksa King with my housemate for lunch.

They have a much better decor compared to the previous Laksa King.
Char-grilled Satay Chicken @ $7.8 AUD
Char-grilled Satay Chicken Skewers served with Satay sauce. Meat was tender but lacked fragrance. Satay sauce tasted rather bland. Satay Chicken was average but much better than Kedai Satay.
Fish Head Noodles @ $11.9 AUD
Rockling Fish Head, Fine Rice Vermicelli, Pickled vegetables, Tofu and Tomatoes in Milky Fish Soup sprinkled with Spring Onions and Fried Onions. Fish soup was tasty and fragrant with Evaporated Milk added into it. Rockling Fish Head was seasoned and deep-fried then added into the soup which gave an extra oomph to the soup. Probably the best fish head noodle you could find in Melbourne. Tasted pretty similar to the one from Malaysia. Some might dislike this dish as you will have a hard time eating the meat out from the bone. Suggest to get the fish fillet one but you will be missing out as the fish head makes the soup tastier.
Fish Head Curry Laksa @ $11.9 AUD
Rockling Fish Heads, Eggplants, Lady's Fingers and mixed noodles in Curry Laksa Soup sprinkled with Spring Onions and Fried Onions. Soup was tasty, thick and creamy. Very close to the one from Malaysia. Fish Head was rather disappointing as it tasted rather bland. It was steamed instead of deep-fried and lacked of seasoning. Would suggest to order the other Curry Laksa instead.
Ice Grass Jelly Soya Milk @ $4.5 AUD
Refreshing drink but didn't like it as there was too much ice.
Ice Kachang @ $5.9 AUD
Shaved ice with Red Bean, Grass Jelly, Lychee, Atachee, Evaporated Milk and Palm Sugar. Shaved ice was rather hard and rough. Had to wait for it to melt in order to enjoy it. Wouldn't recommend this. Apparently the Chendol is good. Should give that a try instead.

Verdict (Highest-10)
Food: 8 (One of the best Malaysian Cuisine you could find in Melbourne)
Service: 7 (Staffs were friendly. Food came out pretty quick even in a huge crowd.)
Ambiance: 7 (Simple and neat decor. Much better than the previous one.)
Overall: 8 (Would definitely come here to try for more)

Price: $9.20-13.20 AUD per main
