Monga Sweet Express ★★ $

Cooling Shaved Ice @ $7 AUD

Our dinner wasn't great so we decided to have something sweet to please our self. Monga Sweet Express provides desserts which are more for takeaway rather than eat in. Hence, the name express is given to it. You might have trouble finding for a seat as there are not many tables around.

Mango Lover Shaved Ice @ $7.5 AUD
Shaved Ice with Mango, Sago, Pomelo and Mango Popping Boba with Condensed Milk & Mango Syrup. The pictures displayed from the menu looked entirely different from what we ordered. Wasn't too sweet but tasted rather average.
Cooling Shaved Ice @ $7 AUD
Shaved Ice with Watermelon, Palm's Seed, Coconut Jelly & Grass Jelly with Passionfruit & Rose Syrup. Same as above but with different ingredients.
Hot Black Glutinous Rice Sweet Soup with Coconut Milk @ $5 AUD
A heavier in taste dessert with Black Glutinous Rice. Average but great to enjoy during a cold night.
Aloe Vera & Green Apple @ $6 AUD
Aloe Vera & Green Apple in Sweet Soup. Nothing special as its just sweet.

Verdict (Highest-10)
Food: 4 (Desserts were average, not worth the price you are paying for.)
Service: 5 (For such simple desserts, the wait was rather long.)
Ambiance: 3 (No ambiance to begin with as its more for takeaway.)
Overall: 4 (Not desirable.)

Price: $3.50-9.50 AUD per main

  1. Dear Raymond, we have been a follower of your blog for some time now and have come to realise a couple of things. I hope you dont take any offense in our suggestions. As a reader, we would probably prefer that the posts are more catered to the readers rather than based on your taste all the way as we do not know what your taste is like, for example when you say the food is average, what is average? also you may need to widen your descriptive words by reading other blogs as we realise you have the tendency to use the words "bland, decent, average" We do not know you personally hence not knowing what your expectations are. It would be nice if each dish is described based on its taste and not just read a decent or bland. Thanks and keep up the good work!

  2. Thanks for the suggestion. I've been waiting for suggestions for quite some time as I'm not sure I'm on the right track. I shall work on my description as I didn't realize this till you mention it. Thanks again!! Cheers!;)
