The Hardware Societe ★★★ $$

Bircher @ $11 AUD

First of all thank you for the votes. Heard lots of good reviews about this place and was really excited to try it out.

As expected, the place was crowded. We had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table and looking at the crowd, it brought up my expectation for this place.
Can't resist to take a picture of such Yummy looking breads and cakes.
Coffee @ $3 AUD
Didn't get to try the coffee but apparently its good.
Hot Chocolate @ $4.5 AUD
A cup with a small lump of 54% Dark Callebaut Chocolate; a beaker of warm frothed milk; and another small lump of sugar coated donut as a treat on the side. The milk was not poured into the cup for you. A great idea as you get to adjust the taste to your liking. Their milk are freshly supplied by Jonesy's Dairy Fresh of Loddon Murray Region.
Bircher @ $11 AUD
The Bircher was excellent!!! Muesli with Vanilla Plums, Yogurt, Blueberries, Toasted Macadamias, Sweetened Pear and sprinkled with Blueberry Syrup. Refreshing with a slight sweetness and acidity to it. A very healthy meal for a great start of the day.
Confit Salmon with Potato Salad @ $17 AUD
Potato Salad with Confit Salmon and Poached Eggs on the top. Potato Salad mixed with herbs. It tasted rather bland. Confit Salmon was decent with a delicate flavor to it but the Poached Eggs were slightly overcooked.
Baked Eggs @ $15 AUD
Baked Eggs with cooked Chorizo, Confit Tomato and Peas. Every bite was full of flavor but the Baked Eggs were slightly overcooked so it was rather dry. Could have been better.
Poached Eggs @ $16 AUD
A must try dish!!! Roasted Baby Peppers, Tomato & de Soto braised Chickpeas, Chorizo, Goat Cheese with Poached Eggs on the top. This dish was deep with flavor. Every bite was delicious and with the sourdough bread, it was a perfect match. Poached Eggs were also cooked perfectly with the egg yolk oozing out when cut.
Fried Eggs @ $15 AUD
Thinly sliced Jamon, Manchego Cheese, Paprika Olive Oil, Olive Bread and Fried Eggs on the top. The Jamons which were the dry-cured hams were decent. Was't too happy with the fried eggs as it was slightly overcooked. Could have been better.
Scrambled Eggs @ $16 AUD
Scrambled Eggs cooked with peas; Beetroot cured Salmon and Herb Crème Fraiche in the Baguette. Scrambled Eggs were moist and the texture was perfect but was slightly too salty. As for the Baguette, unique flavor and ingredients were used which tasted great but the bread was too hard which ruined the whole thing.

Verdict
Food: 7.5 (Some dishes were good some not so. Standard dropped probably due to the huge crowd)
Service: 7.5 (Staffs were friendly and always smiling)
Ambiance: 7
Overall: 7.5 (Would give it a try again when they are not so busy)

Price: $11-16 AUD per main
