Seven Seeds ★★★ $$ Round #2

Grilled Pumpkin Sandwich @ $10.50 AUD

Seven Seeds is a sister to St Ali which is known for being one of Melbourne's best cafes. Came back here for a second try as its always a great place to come by for their fragrant coffee aroma and also enjoy their wonderful breakfast.

Didn't know where exactly the place was. We took the wrong way and had to make a big round to find it. The entrance to this place is through an alley.
The place gives off a strong coffee aroma the moment you enter. Staffs were friendly and attentive
Had to take these delicious looking cakes and muffins.
Crushed Pea, Mint & Spring Onion FR Egg Omelette, whipped Feta with Sourdough Bread @ $11.50 AUD
Sourdough Bread was pressed till a crispy and thin crust was formed. Crust had a nice texture to it but was slightly oily. Couldn't taste much of the mint and overall the Sandwich was bland. But added with the Beetroot Jam, it tasted so much better. Beetroot Jam was good.
Buckwheat & Rice Muesli @ $9 AUD
Rhubarb & Honey Compote; and Greek Yoghurt as toppings. A cup of milk was given on the side. Tasted the Rhubarb by itself and it was really sour. After mixing it with the Muesli, the sourness was evenly distributed which gave off a refreshing with slight acidity to the cereal. Rice Mueslies were crunchy on the outside and chewy from the inside. Was rather dry so had to add milk. A healthy and refreshing cereal packed with goodness.
Chai Latte @ $3.80 AUD
Hardly drink any coffee so not a coffee expert but would mention how it tasted like. Smooth gingery latte with cinnamon on the top. Ginger taste was not overly strong complemented with the minty cinnamon. Every sip was soothing. Would say latte composition was fine but slight lacked in fragrance. A great drink which also keeps you warm.

ROUND #2
Grilled Pumpkin Sandwich @ $10.50 AUD
Hot pressed seeded sandwich filled with grilled pumpkin, ricotta cheese, spinach and candied spicy walnuts with rockets on the side. A wonderful combination of ingredients. Sweet and savoury. The pumpkin gives out a pleasant sweetness and the ricotta cheese mixed with spinach just brings up your appetite. Another plus point to the bread as it was crispy and crunchy with a wonderful fragrance from the sesame seeds.
Sauteed mixed Mushrooms, Poached Egg & Turkish Bread @ $13.50 AUD
Sauteed mushrooms, poached free range egg topped with basil & pinenut pesto and turkish bread on the side. Mushrooms were well sauteed as it was juicy and flavorful and the firm and slightly chewy texture was well retained. Egg was perfectly poached and the yolk was runny. The pesto worked really well when eaten with the mushroom and bread. A great choice for a breakfast.
Affogato [Top] @ $5 AUD, Mocha [Bottom] @ $4 AUD & Latte [Right] @ $4 AUD
Affogato was thick and the coffee flavour was intense. The ice-cream worked really well with the espresso as it balanced the bitterness and still retained the coffee fragrance. Mocha was smooth and sweet with chocolate flavour on the stronger side. Latte was smooth and milky.
