Ling Nam ★★★ $$

Clams cooked with X.O. sauce @ $24.50 AUD

This is the right place if you are looking for a good Chinese food. Chinese people love to seek for food which has Wok Hei. This place definitely has it.

Place was crowded as usual. Had to wait for 20 minutes to get a table.
Scallop Omelette @ $22 AUD
A must try dish!! Fried Scallop Omelette. Scallops were big and delicate. Omelette was really fragrant and had the Wok Hei to it. First time I tried it, it was really good. This was my second time and it was slightly overcooked and little oily. Guess they were rushing due to the crowd.
Fillet Steak Cantonese Style @ $18 AUD
Another great dish. Sizzling hot Fillet Steak. Meat was juicy and tender. Sauce was much better the first time I tried it.
Stir-fried Water Spinach with Garlic @ $14 AUD
Perfectly cooked Water Spinach with the right amount of Garlic. How a stir-fried veg should taste like.
Clams cooked with X.O. sauce @ $24.50 AUD
Clams were fresh. Had a different X.O. sauce in my mind but nevertheless the sauce was great. Tasted even better when dipped with Chinese Donuts. Chinese Donuts were slightly overcooked but still great.

Verdict (Highest-10)
Food: 8 (Wouldn't say its the best but definitely a good Chinese restaurant in Melbourne. Not all dishes here are oily, you just have to choose the right one.)
Service: 4 (More focus is placed on the food)
Ambiance: 5 (Place is slightly small and packed but what is there to complain to enjoy good food)
Overall: 8 (Would definitely come back here for more. Apparently Seafood dishes are good here.)

Price: $15-25 AUD per main
